- 12 Roma tomatoes

- Salt and ground black pepper to taste
Slice a small slit in each of the tomatoes and insert 1 garlic clove. Place onions in a crock pot then place tomatoes on top of onions. Add the jalapeno peppers to the pot then season everything with salt and pepper. Cover and cook for 3 hours on high. When ready, place tomatoes in a bowl to cool. Carefully remove the skins (discard skins) then place in a blender along with the rest of the ingredients in the crock pot. Blend to your desired consistency. Garnish with cilantro before serving.
Delicious Slow-Cooked Teriyaki Sauce
What you need:
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoons water
- 1/8 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/8 cup sweet rice wine
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
Mix together garlic, soy sauce, 1/2 cup water, brown sugar, sweet rice wine and ginger in a slow cooker. Stir until ingredients are well-combined. Cover and cook for 2 hours on low. When ready, stir well. In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon water with cornstarch until dissolved. Pour mixture in the slow cooker then add the sesame seeds. Stir well. Cover and cook for 15 to 20 minutes more on low. Serve with vegetables, over meat or use as dipping sauce.
The Ultimate Crock Pot BBQ Sauce
What you need:
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 3 1/2 cups ketchup
- 1 1/2 cups beer of your choice
- 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup yellow mustard
- 3 tablespoons barbecue seasoning
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Combine onion, ketchup, beer, sugar, mustard, bbq seasoning, vinegar and honey in a slow cooker. Season with garlic powder, pepper and paprika. Stir to combine ingredients well. Cover and cook for 12 hours to overnight on low.
